The Sacramento Zoo will officially close at 1:30 on Saturday, July 26, to get ready for the Ice Cream Safari, which will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Enjoy live music and entertainment, plus stuff for the kids, too. A raffle will be held, known as the GiRaffle, plus face painting and prizes.
Tickets cost $17 for Adults.
Children 3 to 13: $13
And children under two are FREE.
Members of the Sacramento Zoological Society save $2.
A free shuttle runs through the park from 14th Avenue to 18th Street, south to Sutterville and up 17th to Land Park Drive and over to 13th Street.
More than 9,000 scoops of ice cream will be offered, according to the Sacramento Bee. Beat the heat. Check out chocolate, Heath bar crunch, Jamoca Oreo, strawberry sorbet (milk free) and several others, including my favorite, mint chocolate chip!
The Sacramento Zoo is located at 3930 West Land Park Drive, just north of Sutterville.

Sounds like fun, but I don't think I will make it :). I love the Heath Bar Crucnch.
More than 9,000 scoops of ice cream. I'm loading up my Lear jet. I'm there Elizabeth. You know where all the fun spots are my friend.
Hi Kevin: Well, now that I have my cabinets installed, I may pop over there tomorrow. Oh, wait. I'll be showing property. Well, maybe after 7 PM. I love the Sacramento Zoo; I love giraffes, and I love ice cream. You know, out of all the flavors in the world, I never order them. Nope, no cherry nut, even though I like cherry nut because I like chocolate chip mint better.
Hi Gary: I'll post photos tomorrow of the cabinet install for you. :)
