I finally won a battle against BOFA with a SHORT SALE. After 3 buyers and 374 days, we sold the property at 4601 37th Ave. in Sacramento. Can you imagine what 374 days in your home without a mortgage payment would do for your family??
The process was an extremely lengthy one because during the transaction BOFA (Bank of America) went through several system changes, that would delay each process by about 3 months. Normally, sellers would want as much time as possible in the home, especially when you're not making a mortgage payment. In this case, the seller had vacated the property long before he hired me to sell it. The property managed to also get a lien from the city due to the overgrown lawn and lack of maintenance. The property also had a lien with CalHFA. CalHFA was great to work with. Luckily, the last buyer was trained well on what to expect on a BOFA short sale by her agent and had no problem waiting 3 months for a short sale to be approved.
If you have a property with several liens and you've decided that you need to sell it, call me!
