California Housing Finance Agency to Launch Program to Help Curb Foreclosures

It’s no secret that California has been hard-hit by foreclosures. However, some assistance may be on the way. California Housing Finance Agency is introducing a multi-billion dollar program, which should offer troubled homeowners some help.

The program is broken down into 4 plans as follows:

(1) Unemployment Mortgage Assistance Program – Helps the unemployed.

(2) Mortgage Reinstatement Program – For those who are behind on payments. Must have financial hardship.

(3) Principal Reduction Program – Must be struggling financially and experienced severe decline in home value.

(4) Transition Assistance Program – For those who know foreclosure is imminent. Provides money for moving.

On November 17th Sacramento’s KCRA Channel 3 is teaming up with the California Housing Finance Agency, to run a “Call 3 Call In.” The session will be between the hours of 4:30 am – 7:00 pm.

There is no charge for this service. There is nothing to lose by making one more phone call to investigate whether these programs will help you!
