The In-Group is Coming Out in Large Numbers.......

 That's right, the In-Group is pouring out of their other home styles for a new lifestyle home in a Downtown Hi-Rise. They are appearing at extravagant ultra Chic parties sponsored by Hi-Rise Developers to attract the rich and the not necessarily so famous " life style" oriented Buyers for the Hi-Rise Lifestyle in Downtown San Diego.

Just last month, One Smart developer spend over $500 per guest on a Chic Night time party to lure their best potential buyers.

The developer in an interview recently said " We are not dealing with the sub-prime borrowers. It allows us to to establish a buzz among the right people". The " right people" at this party included 90 buyers who had already closed escrow, scores of potential buyers and assorted VIP's.

Invitations to this party were engraved on Lucite and when they arrived the guests were also given other tokens of the developers esteem.

 From the extravagant food and specialized beverages, band selection and the entertainment, the environment was comparable to Chic Hollywood parties with all the bling and glamour.

How about seeing a few Cirque de Soliel style performers rappelling off the side of the building. Now that's entertainment Grand style.

One invited guest said this was one of the most fabulous opening parties ever done in San Diego. A comment from a major PR firm representative also invited said that events like also serve to keep buyers from cancelling their sales contracts and convincing on the fence hesitant buyers to buy. It all demonstrates that there are many Buyers seeking the active life styles associated with living the Chic lifestyles.

Hi Marlene, I need to check dates for Brian's invitation to visit the orange County group . Mine invitation was lost too! They knew we would probably rip the guests for their " tacky bling and all", I'll bet . I was invited to help clean up afterwards and was offered any food that I could find laying around.lol. I thought was nice, lol

Bill, very creative builder, developer. We are just starting to take off in high rises and condos in downtown Ann Arbor. I know in Chicago lofts are hot. I'll keep this thought in my back pocket.

In my view is all about marketing. Remember the Pet Rock. When sales are down, everyone gets more creative and these developers are certainly doing the cool new thing. Re-create what you have and call it something else. Put a hot label on it and market the heck out of it. Put some money behind it and before long a whole new thinking pattern emerges and for those that have the money and bought into it, they will keep it going. Sort of the old take away approach . If you have something not many people want, re-package it  as very cool and then taunt people who can afford it, with the "maybe you can't afford it" and Voila! a new style is born. They did the same thing in night clubs. This is the new marketing future and maybe we REALTORS should try a bit more of it. Think I kidding. How about, restricted and selective admittance and cocktails starting at $25 each. The drink and other items on menu would make many of us feel poor. And that is the idea. Friends keep the pressure on to keep buying because it is Chic to be part of the In-Group.
