FISHING; San Diego's Favorite Sport!

Thresher Shark with Fishermen GREG NOONAN and his family and friends celebrate after catching a 375 lb Thresher Shark in May. As responsible fishermen, they catch only one shark per season and have spread the 200 lbs+ of meat from this monster to freezers all over town!

With this economy, we have been tempted to run ads like "Family Man Will Work For Food" on our real estate ads... but fishing for thresher shark has never been better. Fishing on our Boston Whaler Conquest 305 has provided untold hours of fun and a GREAT WAY to enjoy all San Diego has to offer!

We rise at about 4:30AM, head out for a quick stop at the bait dock and then we are on our way to the Coronado Islands or offshore La Jolla or San Diego with fishing licenses in hand. Sunrise over Point Loma, San Diego Despite the early hour, the seas off San Diego are beautiful and offer what we call the "Saltwater Safari" with viewings of porpoises, frolicking sea lions, whales traveling south to calf... And then we spend the day searching for kelp paddies that harbor schools of albacore and yellowtail, or the occasional sea bass, all of which make for great eating. Fighting a thresher off San Diego

Why they call it "fishing" instead of "catching" is no mystery, as many an hour is spent looking at the rods for action... without success! If YOU would like to enjoy San Diego's fishing experience, contact GREG NOONAN anytime. We'll hook you up! 1-800-LA JOLLA
