A Beautiful San Diego Luncheon on the Bay.......It Just Doesn't Get Any Better!

A long time client and friend took me to lunch today to commemorate another completed transaction and celebrate our friendship.

What a beautiful Day, The sun was shining with cool breeze coming in off the ocean.

This restaurant used to be the Old Ruebens's restaurant and was taken over a few years by Island Prime.

I must admit the food was fabulous. One of my favorite TV series a few years ago was Dr. Quinn.

Well, my client is Mary Quinn and she also has her doctorate . Dr. Quinn has been a client I would guess for nearly 10 years now.

To be part of this lovely scene and being treated to lunch with my
favorite client was very special indeed.

Seeing the Star of India sailing ship actually sailing was also a real treat. It is on permanent display at the Marina downtown.

The skyline view of downtown is continually changing with all the new construction. The view out from the restaurant was a moored Naval Aircraft Carrier

Thankfully the citizens of San Diego
saw the wisdom of approving the new
Ballpark downtown and the
transformation is totally awesome.

thank you.

Jo

William--Isn't it amazing how close we become to many of our clients? Thank you for sharing your story of Dr Quinn...Beautiful photos!

Makes me miss SD with a passion!

What beautiful pics William, I need to visit sometime, never been to SD.

Hi Jason,San Diego is beautiful. All of California is. You would certainly be well served by planning a trip here and seeing for yourself what beauty lies west of the Mississippi, way west in fact. As beautiful as it is, there is no beauty to compare with your fall Allentown. It is just different. One of the most remarkable things about our country in total is that no matter where you live there is beauty to be enjoyed.

In November 2009, NAR is holding its Annual meeting here ,not very far from where my pictures were taken. I was trying to encourage ActiveRain to come here and have an annual social meeting of its blogging members. I thought it would be especially nice to coordinate it with the NAR meetings. Sort of like the  "doubling down"  term used  the gaming world. :-)

I did a post on it when I was first new to ActiveRain a coupe of months ago.

Tracey, Thanks for writing, it was a a very special day indeed. We sat on the bench after lunch for more than an hour and just enjoyed the, sights the sounds, the smell of fresh salty sea air. It was realy wonderful.

Hi Lynda, nice to hear from as always and  for the comment, it would be wonderful if you would return sometime. Maybe Brian could arrange one of our soirees downtown on the water? I will suggest it.

Hello Woo Hoo Sally, she is my time favorite. A brilliant women that is a professor at USD. She and I talk sometimes for hours and she just loves my blog. She wrote the most special testimonial to me the other day and I want to add it on but I need Jim to show me how to add the text on to the back end of my blog site.

Hi Teri, Yes indeed. We are really blessed to be able to do what we do for a living . Irrespective of the income, the friendships we make and the the knowledge we gain from them keep us vital in our industry as well as our personal lives. Thanks so much for reading the post and writing me your thoughts.

Hi Jo-Anne, how are you. I sort of took some time off and enjoyed life the past coupe days. recharges my batteries. I am so far behind in answering all my comments and reading everyones post. i will catching up all week. It was wonderful and I am so glad I got a chance to share something so special.

Hi Jeff, you need to pack up your family and come back for a visit  to. It hasn't changed that much but then, it still changes enough to be interesting and entertaining. Beside, San Diego is way more fun as a tourist destination with so much to do when you have the time to do it, :-).

Hi William,
Some days are good and then there are the great ones.  Sounds like this was a great one.  Nothing beats good friends, good food, stimulating conversation, beautiful setting and weather, what a winning combination.  Life is good.

William, it sounds like you touched a nerve with some beautiful pictures and your lovely day in San Diego.  I have been there several times and absolutely LOVE it!!  Perfect weather and a beach :)  Thank you for sharing this day and the photos.

Hello Cynthia, Good Morning,

It was a wonderful day. Imagine having a cleint treating you to lunch. We decided yesterday that we bth enjoyed it so much that we are going to get together ( just like an appointment -not to trivialize it )and have a luncheon at least a few times a year so we don't lose contact we each other. She loves my blog and wants to be a guest writer. being an English professor,  I know it won't have spelling or gramatical errors in it. :-) She said I have tAught her a lot about real estate and how one should treat their cleints and she wants to tell people what they should look for in the professional that guides them in these mattters.

We all need a Mary Quinn in our lives and hope we all have one. What a fabulous Lady! How wonderful it was when we discovered each other.

Good Morning Carol,

I love waking up and seeing what comments I have. Starts my day off really well. There is always a enough bad news to fill a book on any given day. We need to at least once in a while, share those wonderful moments when life is not standing still and there is great joy in the air. I for one love these special times and by sharing them, I get to keep and enjoy  them longer. It helps me to be more  appreciative and more aware  of how wonderful life can be.

I would spend a lot of time diving in La Jolla Cove.

William - I have heard terrific things about this place, and now to get a personal recommendation is the best. And what terrific views!!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, It is every bit as good as I have indicated. the food is awesome. The views are every bit as exciting as the pictures show. It was a  tiny bit hazy but after we ate, it all cleared. We got there when they opened at 11:15 am and it filled quickly. They also don't take reservations for lurch so we knew what we would encounter if we went later. I hope you enjoy it. The old Rueben was good but this is even better. Here's to Island Prime!

Always,
William

Hi Jeff, You would have the best time. It is a really beautiful place and I am sure your family would love to come back and experience right along with you!

I love San Diego and will visit again within the next few months. We actually bought a condo there at CityWalk 2 years ago and then sold it...that was a mistake. Anyway, nice post.

Angelica

Hello Angelica, What a beautiful name. Thank you for commenting on my postt and I am so glad you come to San Diego. it is a beautiful place to live but honestly even that being true, it is way more fun to visit. After people live here a while they just take it all for granted. Too bad, as there are so many things to do , see and appreciate here.

Hi William,

Thanks to you and Dr Quinn for treating us to a vicarious outing in Lovely San Diego, CA! It is one of my favorite cities, and definitely a great place to dine. Great photos, I feel as though I can smell the salt air.

Hi Beth, Thanks you as well for commenting and being a part of this. It was a spendid day and looking for many more to come!

Hi Paula, You must be blogging away on Active Rain, you are near the top of the leader board, Congratulations. It was a beautiful day and one that will always remember. Clients usually don't take me out that often. it is usually me taking my clients out, so it was very unusual and special.
