Is that Demi Moore's former penthouse?
And, of course, how much did they just make on that deal?
Hi Bill,
No it wasn't hers. The listing agency brought the brought the buyer. I have no way to know what the compensation was but I suspect it was a large amount.
Wow, this is like the prices in NY City. I'm amazed.

I wouldn't of minded a piece of that pie:-)
Hi Tracy, With the ocean and bay views, it is more like California, lol Although the water is the same steel grey color.
Hi Jason- Me too, it would have made my year. Sadly I didn't know the buyer. I need to change the circle of people I hang around with. Most of them are just too poor to even pay attention, lol
William - When will you be moving in. We could have apotluck for you. I'll bring some chips and dip!
Hi Marlene,Sure wish I was moving in. Could we have a party or what? When the building was first built, these condos were not selling well. In the mid range of the building you could buy for well under $500,000. The downtown development made these properties grow in value and I don't think the cap will be the cap down the road. It is a unique and wonderful location and it my mind the value will continue to grow exponentially.
I hope you were the listing agent!
Paula, thanks for wishing such good things for me. I could only wish that was the case here. No such luck.
William:
We are certainly seeing some records n the area. We have this one (for a 1 bedroom, yet), and the sale in Del Mar that exceeded $40 million. And there is that great ocean front property with terar down in Del Mar for $76 million. And there are 2 condos on the market (1 to be completed in 2009) for $12.5 million. Not too shabby.
Jeff
Hi Jeff, We are certainly seeing some record numbers for our markets here. It is amazing and as things improve overall, I expect we will see even more. California will soon be the most exopensive place on earth. Isn't it already? :-)
PS, We need to have a social get together soon. Shall we Ring Brian? :-)
