Connecting socially in the On-line World is great, and important, especially for networking, building relationships and business, but connecting in person after that cyber handshake is what makes it even more exciting and awesome than you can imagine. These are extraordinary times. Inman.com calls their annual event "Inman Real Estate Connect" and it's pretty clear as to why.
"Visitors to Real Estate Connect enjoy 3 jam-packed days full of the industry's best networking opportunities and the very latest business intelligence that will help you rethink, re-frame and recharge your business." Inman.com
The AR community has been a big supporter of "Connects" all the way from San Francisco to New York, and we're doing it again this year. The good folks over at INMAN have extended an "Early RAIN" special discount to ALL ActiveRain members in hopes you'll join us there this year. Jon, Bob, Jeff and I will be there, and we're excited to see old friends and finally get to meet many of you.
Here's some of what's been planned for REC "09"
Inman Videos From Past Conferences
Looking back at years past, I have never regretted attending one of these events. They just get bigger and better every year. If you have never attended an Inman Connect, it's difficult to put into words the value and benefit they bring to your business, and if you have attended in the past, then you know exactly what I mean. Come meet many of the ActiveRain members you may already know on-line, and also come away with a good understanding of what is needed to survive the future of the Real Estate Industry.

Brad - Bloggers Connect has always been terrific and I hope to get there this year. Can't do the whole thing - budget and time don't allow.
Jeff
Thanks for the information. Appears to be a great event!

Jeff - this was where we first met in person 2 years ago. I'll never forget that day, it's permanently etched into the "Good Times" memory bank. Looking forward to seeing you again my friend. :-)
Hey Brad~ I hope to see you this year at Blogger's Connect! You have been on my hit list for F2F connection for a long time sweetie;) MWA!
Brad, I'll be in San Francisco for the first 10 days of August. We've actually scheduled our vacation around Inman Connect. It doesn't hurt that both my sister and sister-in-law live in San Francisco! Certainly helps to save on some of the travel expenses.
Looking forward to the conference, but more importantly, looking forward to spending some more time hanging out with you. Maybe you'll even get a chance to meet my wife. She'll be joining me this year.
If there is only one event I can go to in a year it is Inman News Real Estate Connect. I couldn't go to the January meeting because of cancer treatment, but those nice folks at Inman moved our registration to this one. You need to get on getting rooms at The Palace now if any are still available. For those who are not familiar with San Francisco, and why not, you can take the BART within a few blocks of the Palace for about $3.50. Catch it at The International terminal.
Oh- I would love to go, but I don't think it is in the cards. I miss SF! Oh well, I am sure you will keep us up to date...
I'd love to go but this is prime real estate season for my area. I wish they would have it in a different month on the west coast.
Inman Connect needs to come DOWN SOUTH! I'd love to attend if it were a little closer to Dallas. Looking forward to hearing some results!
Brad, I know this will be a great event. Looking forward to reading some posts on this, as I will not be able to attend.
Wow ~ 52% savings to ActiveRain members! You can't beat that price! Living so close to San Francisco, I may just have to plan to attend this one.
Brad, I am really hoping I can finally attend this year...but, believe it or not, I may be too busy selling to be able to get away! That's how awesome blogging is! Thanks for sharing this discount with us!
Brad: I REALLY REALLY want to drive on in to the city and join the fun this year!!!!
Maybe I can round up another Rainer who wants to go with me. Let me know if you know of anyone.

If you are going to Inman Connect SF, you might as well come a day early and hit RE Bar Camp SF! The whole REBC started in San Francisco last year before Inman. It'll be very cool to see it come full circle!
Hope to see lots of you there!
I'm only about $2k short of going... Anyone want to sponsor me? I'm going to miss not being there.
Hi Brad!
How I would love to go...and I am sure it is worth every cent...except my "cents" are not what I need...so maybe next time!
Paula
Brad: Sounds like a great event. I have not attended before.
I do not think I can make it, but for those of you who do I hope it turns into a number of good posts.
See you in SF again this year Brad! Bloggers Connect is not to be missed!
Tina in Virginia
I hope you, and others, post about what you learn. Maybe one of these days they will come to Houston!
I am so glad you posted this! We are now attending - thanks for the information.
I'm really looking forward to this, and to seeing you all there. Jay mentioned the REBarCamp the day before. I am such a goof, I should have looked that up with the details and added it to this post. It has come completely full circle. Sorry, and thanks Jay.
Brad--I wish I could attend, but CA is a long way from PA. For now I will read and comment here in the rain.
It really sounds like a great time. Unfortunately I won't be able to make however so you'll have to come back and get some posts out to the AR members telling us all about it. I look forward to hearing .

Hey Brad, I just left a comment but for some reason my photo (myself) didn't come up?? Do you know why?

Patricia - it's because you're not logged into AR. Login first before you comment, that way you get a linkback to your profile and your photo in the comments. :-)
Brad, thanks for posting this. Don't know if we can do it - we're going to Virginia the end of July for my mom's 80th birthday.
Sharon
Sharon - Have a great time, and wish her a very Happy birthday from me too. In fact, why not just bring her with you to RE Connect, and I can wish her Happy Birthday in person? :-))) Enjoy!
Hi Brad ~ I won conference registration in the raffle at the REBarCamp-Boston. I was psyched because with registration, air fare, etc I had decided it was more than I could handle. Can't wait!
Liz
Liz - CONGRATS! Looking forward to seeing you there.
My goal is ReBarcamp if I can clear the schedule. Networking there would be enough.
We'd love to see you there, some of us will be attending the REBarCamp for sure. Hope you can clear your schedule. :-)
Hello -
New to ActiveRain - New to the conference! I can't wait - I am especially excited for the Bloggers Connect Workshops and the Conference Speakers not to mention get out of this HOT HEAT in California!
Look forward to making some new GREAT friends!
