San Jose Short Sales - Do homeowners in financial distress know what they want?

Steve Jobs comment “customers don't know what they want until we've shown them reminds me of homeowners who are experiencing financial difficulties and don't know what to do. One major distinction: Apple Computer sells a product for which the customer pays a premium, and at the time of purchase, the customer likely already knows they want it.

Kathleen Daniels, San Jose short sale agent, provides a service for which the seller pays nothing unless or until the desired results are achieved. The seller may not know what they want; may not understand their options; may not understand the consequences; and may later live to regret the decisions they made because they lacked the information needed to make an informed decision.

My role as a San Jose Short Sale Agent is to:

  • First and foremost - Know my Job.
  • Provide sellers with all the information they need.
  • Discuss all options in detail.
  • Provide professional resources such as real estate attorneys, CPA's, credit repair and restoration; possibly bankruptcy attorneys; and any and all other resources which may be necessary.
  • Be supportive.
  • Be patient.
  • Be understanding.
  • Communicate. Communicate. Communicate.
  • Be firm and kind at the same time. Yes, it can be done!
  • Know better than to ever tell a seller what they should do when it comes to making a decision.
  • Allow people to trust their inner knowing once they have all the information they need to make informed decisions.
