I first visited the area in 1996 and fell in love with it. When I turned a "milestone" age (and I'm not saying which age that was!) I moved here without knowing a soul. The place has that kind of effect on people. This is a college town Cal Poly SLO and many students after graduating and leaving the area, find themselves wanting to return. Often they do and raise their children here. I like that we are half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. They are many talented people who live here and peaple are just plain nice.
