State San Marcos, to break ground for student union, in San Marcos,
California, celebrating the groundbreaking Thursday
for construction of its student union. the 89,282 square foot four
story building is set to open in spring 2014, The 43.9 million project
is funded through student fees, university .
The
student union will be near the center of campus. When completed, it
will feature four dining options, a coffee shop,k indoor and
outdoor fireplaces, a convenience store, an activity room and lounges
for studying, TV viewing and computer use.
The building will be the new home of Student Life and Leadership the
Tukwut Leadership Center, Associated Students, Inc and all university
social justice center. A ballroom meeting rooms and office space for
student union operation also will be included.
