• Nationally home sales rose last month by 6.4%
• This is the 7th straight month in which home sales have risen
• The current streak is the longest since 2001
• Pending home sales rose in the Western States by 16%
• Home Prices rose by 1.6% last month nationally
• Home Prices in the Los Angeles are rose by 1.8%
• Mortgage Rates for a 30 year fixed loan dipped to 4.9%
• Mortgage Rates are now approaching a 40 year low
• There is currently a bill before congress which will force lender to attempt to modify a home owners loan rather than foreclose on them. This should have the effect of saving many home owners from losing their homes and will lead to a stronger real estate market recovery.
