"The Great Greek" in Sherman Oaks (in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles) serves what is most probably the best Greek food in all of Los Angeles.

The casual atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting and the food is delicious.

The Menu offers a great selection of hot or cold appetizers .... including tasty Hummus with pita bread, outstanding Spanakopita and Meditteranenan-styled eggplant stuffed with fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and feta cheese (really good!).

The Char-broiled chicken-breast kebabs are wonderfully satisfying and served with some of the best oven-roasted potatoes I've ever eaten. Roast Lamb is the house specialty and it's served with a Greek-style pilaf and fresh vegetables.

Their Macedonian Baklava (homemade with crushed almonds, walnuts, pistachios and pure Greek honey) had me licking my fingers and wanting more! I also highly recommend their custom-baked creamy cheesecake .... which is considered to be one of the best recipes in Los Angeles.

The Great Greek is a particularly fun and lively place for dinner and is very reasonably priced too!
