Working in today's market

It is really interesting trying to survive as an agent in today's market. There are so many things that agents can do in this market to survive, but staying motivated is the toughest part.

In order to keep up with this market, I've been doing a number of things to grow my business including the following:

  1. Attend powerful seminars that are educational about the current market including information about pre-foreclosure situations, short sales, and bank owned homes. Many people don't know their options and consequences of these situations and its important to be able to educate consumers.
  2. I've doubled my Center of Influence list from 250 to 500 over the past year through my prospecting. By year end 2008 I want to double that number again to 1000.
  3. Previewing homes every week in order to understand where the market is going.
  4. Switching up my work efforts combining open houses, door knocking, advertising, and internet optimization in order to find serious buyers and sellers.
  5. Working with other agents to provide referral services either on the giving or receiving side of the transaction.

All of these items combine to help keep me a very busy agent. Half the work is just showing up and being ready for the business when it comes!!! I'm ready and here to say "Yes!" to my next deal~!
