Today I am on my way to see some of the wonderful independent films at the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival. Located at The Movie Experience in Tower Plaza, corner of Ynez and Rancho California Road. This event runs daily through Sunday and ticket prices range from individual screening to festival passes, $8-$200.
I have been once before with a girlfriend and we had a blast! Going from one movie to the next trying to
fit in as many movies as we could for only $15.00. A total bargain. Not including all the popcorn you will be able to eat in one day!! That may blow your budget! :)
We were able to see comedies, feature films, short stories and even cartoons. At some of the theater's we were able ask questions and hear from directors, producers and even actors of these films. Then we were given score sheets that allowed us to review and vote for our favorite film. A really cool experience.
I will try to report back...and let you know what I find out this year!
If you have some free time this weekend I highly recommend that you attend this wonderful event. If you couldn't get to Sundance this year come to Temecula! You will not be disappointed.

Wow I'm jealous! I love the indies, I just never make time to get out and watch them, I'm a DVD person. I will have to make a point to go to our next SF Film Festival. Have a great time!
Chris - Thanks! I am a DVD person too. I can't tell you the last time I went to the movies!
You can come with me next year and then we can parlay it into the Wine Country! :)
Sounds great! : )
I have passed you Blog on to my cousin and another friend that live near you so they can take advantage of it. Thanks!
Also, Thank you for commenting on my Post!
I love these... we have a local film festival that keeps getting bigger as well as a few smaller ones. For all those who haven't been, it's well worth it.
Janice, This post made me smile, I can almost imagine rushing from movie to movie---and do you know how LONG it's been since I saw a cartoon??
Janice, I didn't know we had these...as Chuck says we do above. I think it sounds too cool for words. ;-) That would be such a fun day - OFF!!!
Janice,
Now that sounds like a fun way to spend a week-end. Let us know which films you voted winners.
Janice, I'll bet you had a great time. It will be fun to see your next post about it.
Janice- I missed this....I had no idea Temecula had a film festival, only one around here I knew about was Palm Springs :) Hope it was fun....when is the Wine and Balloon one, did I miss that Festival too :)
Sounds like a blast! Don't eat too many Goobers! LOL
