Whoo Hoo - - My Leap of Faith

Friday February 10th 2012, a Chapter came to a close. Somewhere between the dog-eared pages of my life, I finally took that leap of faith that I had been reading and dreaming about for so long. I exited the rat-race. I retired from my 9-5 job.

Now don't misunderstand. I still have other books, other chapters, other pages to turn. I guess it comes with the affliction. I discovered I was a book-aholic from a very young age. I always had more than one going at any time. The same has been true with my life. I was never satisfied with just doing one thing at a time. Even running the rat race wasn't enough, hence the urge to explore more of what's out there... traveling, drawing, cooking, collecting more friends, new cultures, gardening, teaching, and yes, Real Estate owning and helping others own too. But there are only 24 hours in a day, and only so many days in a life. When the time came for me to evaluate how I wanted to use the hours and days I had left, it was clear that the rat-race was using up too much of my time and getting in the way of all the things I really wanted to do.

So here I am, about to begin living the life I wanted, not just the life I was expected to live.

A few years ago, Mike took that leap of faith, we were told was needed, to become Real Estate Agents. That was just the beginning of many leaps for both of us.

In three weeks we will be headed Down-Under where I will be showing Mike, my fiance and partner, all the wonders of my Aussie childhood. This will be the beginning of a life we both have been planning for quite some time now. Following the example of many others like Tim Ferris, we hope to be role models for anyone who wants to take that leap too.

Please follow along with us on all our adventures....
