The largest real estate board in California is the Pacific West Association of Realtors®. Its Multiple Listing Service is the largest MLS in California, known as the SoCalMLS. If you live in Los Angeles or Orange County, the odds are pretty good that your home would be listed for sale in the SoCalMLS, so it includes most homes for sale in Whittier.

Today, there are 455 properties for sale in Whittier, which are broken down in the MLS in the following categories:

Contrary to popular thought, Bank Owned Properties are only 12% of current listings. The bulk of today's listings in Whittier are Standard Sale properties or Short Sale properties, for a combined total of 73% of all Whittier listings in the MLS.

This week, several major banks have placed a moratorium on new foreclosures, so expect the number of Whittier Bank Owned Homes to be reduced, at least for the short term, until the moratorium is lifted.
