This house is really the only example of Prairie Style architecture made famous by Frank Lloyd Wright in Woodland. Built in 1916 and designed by architect John Hudson Thomas this house was considered radical for the area when it was first built . The surrounding homes are mostly Victorian and this house stands out in the neighborhood. This home was one of the first constructed in Woodland with an attached garage.

Give me a call sometime, I know of at least two homes in Woodland designed by Arts & Crafts - storybook style architect William Raymond Yelland that are in Woodland.
I am in my office at the moment and don't have that information at my side, but when I get back to my home office I can look up the names of the original owners for you.
Mike
Mike thanks for the comment. There is a great French cottage home that I quickly looked to see if was Yellands but was designed by a local Woodland architect. Woodland's historical society has a lot of information available as many here realize there really is a lot of great architecture/homes in a small amount of space.
Carolyn - it's interesting to trace the influence of the greats like Frank Lloyd Wright through their disciples. I once listed and sold a home here in St Pete that I could link to FLW by characteristics, but not through reality. Must have been designed by someone imitating his style.
I love the roofline of this home. Thanks for sharing.
