The most often overlooked things to take care of when moving in are scheduling your services. You want to be sure that you get the utilities put in your name (gas; electricity and water to name a few). You will also want to get your cable or satellite television hooked up along with your internet and phone. Most companies if scheduled in advance can take care of this moving day for you. You will also want to find out what day is your local recycling and trash days.
After you get all moved in, you will want to get to know your local community. The final part of this series will focus on ideas to make yourself part of your area and how to contribute to your new neighborhood.
