Boulder Love Letter

Every once in a while I have to pinch myself to make sure this place isn't just some pretty dream. Ok, I'm sure each and every one of you just love your respective hometowns, but with all due respect I just can't imagine living anywhere else.

Boulder has it all, and this is the time of year where my family and I are constantly rediscovering whey we live here.

Things I love about Boulder in the summertime:

  1. Farmer's Market (must be getting old if that's #1 on my list)
  2. The hiking. Chautauqua is beautiful this time of year...and I'm going to torture all of you with some photos attached below
  3. The restaurants. I'm a bit of a food snob. Now that's not to say I don't enjoy some ribs and a cold PBR, but I love really good restaurants. And from sushi at Sushi Tora, to rack of lamb at Jill's, Boulder has it all.
  4. The mountain biking. Local hot spots include Walker Ranch, Heil Ranch, Hall Ranch, White Horse Ranch...ok, that last one is technically in Golden, but it's just down the road from Boulder;-)
  5. Spring Skiing. I grew up skiing on Upstate New York ice, so to be able to hike up for some skiing even this late in the year shocks me to this day.

Here's a few visual reminders of why Boulder is my favorite place on Earth.

Beautiful... Reminds me of my beautiful Island..

Terrific photos - keep 'em coming!

Beautiful........I want to visit!!!

So beautiful! Doesn't it make you wonder why people choose to live in less inspiring places? I live in Santa Cruz County, which I think of as Heaven, and I heard a guy once wonder out loud about the people who live in what we would think of as horrible places (I won't mention names, don't want to insult anyone). He said, "What happened, did their car break down before they got to Santa Cruz?" Anyway, thanks for sharing the pics!

Bob, Boulder is a beautiful place. I visited from Denver not too long ago. The photos are amazing. I agree with Michael, keep them coming!

Oh but, Summit County has more skiing, more hiking, more biking, more wildflowers...

okay, our spring is just now getting here (I have daffodils in my yard) but we sure do appreciate it when it comes and you can't beat our summers anywhere!
