Tucked away on the north side of Fremont County is Red Canyon Park, part of the Canon City park system. Red Canyon Park resembles Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, but on a smaller scale.
Visitors to the park can day hike, picnic, ATV, watch wildlife and enjoy the views of Canon City. From Canon City follow the Scenic Byway Signs and follow the Gold Belt tour.

Dena, I will be in that general vicinity in a week or so. Perhaps we can take a side trip!
Dean - I just need to plan a day trip with my family down there. Great pictures.
Ok. You reeled me in here with the red rocks. I'm a huge fan of Sedona, AZ and my heart skippped a beat when I saw it!
I love Red Canyon Park, it's a pretty drive and it's a great place to escape to when I want quiet.
Dena, that looks like a great place to spend the day hiking. The only bad thing is that hiking involves lots of walking :) :)
WOW! What gorgeous pictures, Dena!
