The Phil Long Center hosted The Women's Living Expo (Oct 10-11-12, 2008) and it was a wonderful experience. I met with hundreds of wonderful people from all walks of life, and a few old acquaintances as well.

Dena, I posted about the event, and then went out of town unexpectedly so I MISSED it! Lisa of Let's Do Tea was at my networking group where I first heard of it, and my partner and I staged Todd's home (Sold in 8 days!). I used to live in Westcliffe, so it looks like our paths may cross someday! =o)
Cheryl, I'm sorry you missed it. It was a very busy Saturday, but I enjoyed it. Next year for sure!
Were we at the same show? Although I enjoyed meeting all the exhibitors, it was a shame there was so much time to do so. We should have been presenting our products and services to attendees, not each other. I would say this show was a dismal failure. I would never participate in any future show held by this promoter. I would love to see vendors demanding their money back!
Lisa, even when I'm a vendor at these shows I try to get out and talk to people. Vendors are captive behind their tables, I like to go see them!
I'm with Lisa. Although I met some nice people, I did not participate in this event for that reason. This event was a failure if in return for an investment you presume that the promoter will bring in enough traffic to warrant paying them for a booth space, and hoping that their experience will see them configure an event to have the traffic they do produce come by your booth. That simply did not happen.
Vino Luci sells vineyard inspired home decor and entertaining accessories and we were put in the 'Home' section which included a booth for the local utility company, a green home consultant, flooring and carpet cleaners. Huh?? What?? Totally misplaced and total dead zone!
