Stetson Hills, Colorado Springs offers striking Pikes Peak views from almost all parts of the area. This picture taken on Snowy River, just east of Tutt on a crisp winter morning in February.

Mariana -- I grew up in Arvada and also lived in Parker for a while. . . .Boy do I miss those mountains! I am officially jealous of your views!
Wow, that is beautiful. I love looking at mountains but I think I'm too much of a weenie to live near them, I'm totally a southern gal!
Lori- I took this picture this morning after I dropped my oldest son off at school. Breathtaking!
Lindsay- I love living here!
HA!!! That **^%^* ^%$ mountain can be seen from every location within about 50 miles. It hovers over like the ship from outer apace on Independance Day. It's always up there making it's own bad weather.
We took our kids on vacation to Pikes Peak many years ago, our van blew up and we had to buy a new one in Colorado Springs to drive home in. All along the way we kept seeing vans pulled over cooling their engines. It was a great trip up and I couldn't breath well at the top. But, with 5 kids we couldn't afford to fly home so we bought a van. It is an unbelievable site and everyone should visit at least once, just NOT in an older car or van.
Hey Mariana - what a picture that is!! Beautiful sight!
Ann
Lenn - I nearly forgot your love/hate relationship with my mountain!
Missy - HA! You would be suprized at how often that happens. Both cars and people have to be ultra-prepared to go up that mountain. At least you got a new car out of it?
Ann - The mountain really makes me feel small sometimes.
It is the Wagner Team!!!!!!!!!!
So what does everybody think about the proposed Ski Hill on the backside of Pikes Peak??
what a great picture!
HEY! It's 2 Locals, here on my Active Rain post! Hi there!
