Cherry Creek High
End RedevelopmentsCherry Creek has always been a great
place to do business, but now more than ever there are a number of high end
re-developments occuring that will bring several new upscale hotels, retail
shops and office buildings being built over the next few years.
Vallejo
Investments plans to spend up to $100 million to develop a 100 room hotel on top
of the former Cook's Mart at 3000 E. Third Avenue, and developer Eric Bush plans
to build a 200 room hotel, office buildings and retail shops east of Steele
Street between First Ave and Ellsworth Avenue. Bush's project will be
called Steele Creek.
Altogether there are at least 15+ major
redevelopments occuring or being planned in the
Cherry
Creek area that will
offer additional hotel, office and retail space. Many of the current
building owners and tenants are simple waiting until their leases expire to
redevelop.
These changes will augment and continuing development
of higher priced housing in the area and will ensure that Cherry Creek remains
the area's premier exlcusive shopping, dining and entertainment district in the
Denver Metro region.
