Pagosa Springs- San Juan Health District announced Tuesday August 7th, that they are ahead of schedule by 2 months, and will be opening early.
The Critical Access 13 bed hospital is a long awaited dream for many Pagosan's. I guess we could say that it is our Christmas present this year. A grand opening of Jan 5th, and official opening of Jan 7th was announced by Pagosa Mountain Hospital's new Chief Executive Officer, Daniel W. Boatman.

Chris, our new hospital opened about a year and a half ago and we were thrilled! It is nice to be able to get everything done locally rather than go to Vail or Denver. It is getting lots of use too! I have been there a couple of times for tests etc and it is very nice and the views are awesom. In fact, I hope to do a post about it in a couple of weeks.
