Wahatoya and Spanish Peaks

Wahatoya and the Spanish Peaks

The Spanish, Mexican, Utes, Apache, French and even the Aztec all had names for these beautiful mountains. Travelers, Explores, Trappers, Miners and Settlers have all used these mountains as a land mark. Wahatoya means breasts from the earth, or mothers breasts.
