I recently read "Roloand The Realtors" post State convention self-promotion tips. It has generated some great thought and discussion on promoting ourselves to each other at this year's CARConvention (Colorado Association of Realtors) which will be held October 21-23 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.
One of the things that came from that post was our very own Dena Stevens made contact with me and our discussion quickly turned into a networking idea.
"Why don't we have a no-pressure gathering to do a little face-to-face networking while we are there?"
So I am proposing to all of you Active Rainer Coloradan's out there that we put a little more umph into this machine called on-line networking and have a little get together. What do you think??
Feel free to chime in, and as the time approaches I will arrange a time and place (maybe based on suggestions) that we can do this. I myself will be a first timer at the convention so I will listen to all of you, and research the general mood of the convention, so as to figure out what will work best.

that is definitely a good idea Chris. I've talked about doing something similar for my area but it seems that there are only a minimal amount of people in my area who are steadily on AR. I think I've have to migrate north to the Portland Oregon area to make something happen. Which I'm not opposed to. Let me know how it works out if you decide to do something.

I most likely won't be able to attend CAR, but let me know when you decide to meet during it as I will be in the Springs often this fall for an entirely different reason - but if it coincides, I may be able to meet up with everyone.
Hello Chris, Dena and all........this is a great idea and since I go every year I'd like to suggest Sunday evening on the patio by the lake and the outdoor fireplaces. Just one idea.........
One more thing......prepare for the hospitality rooms that are sponsored by the lenders, title companies, and other associations to real estate. My first year, I did not know of these and never miss them since. Lots of networking takes place in those rooms. Don't eat too much at the first room 'cuz there's a lot of them to visit and little time to make them all. ENJOY.
