Referral gone bust

Having the Internet as a way for out of state buyers to view property has changed the way we do business. I work in Montrose Coloradoand have worked hard to be "out there in cyber space".

I had a very interesting and fun thing happen this week. As we are all learning to network and wanting to help other Active Rainer's I was contacted by a person wanting to Relocate to Colorado. I got an email from them with a couple of questions and when I discovered they were not Relocating to Montrose Colorado, but to the Colorado Springs area, I instantly knew of a Realtor from Active Rain I could refer them to.

I made the call, we agreed on how to handle the situation and I sent them the referral forms that we use at RE/Max here in Montrose, sent them off the client's information and off we went.

An hour or so later I get an email from the office I refered this client to and they already have been in contact with an agent from their office, of course we wished them the best and I emailed the buyer and told them they would be well taken care of by this company.

It was common that in a small city a buyer might be working with more than one agent at a time with neither agent knowing, always hard feelings can rise up. This is the first time I have had someone 300 miles away working with the same buyers and then referred them to that very Company.

Interesting market to say the least.

If you need a Realtor in Southwest Colorado, Motrose to be specific, we are Relocation experts.

WE LOVE REFERRALS
