Many builders are offering items such as free plasma televisions or low fixed interest rates. Hovnanian, a luxury builder, recently went as far as reducing home prices by as much as $100,000 through a mix of discounts and other incentives. This "Deal of the Century" campaign resulted in the sale of over 2,100 homes.
