Fort Collins, CO –We’re just a month away from celebrating the biggest and coolest event of the year right here in Downtown, Fort Collins “The New West Festival and Bohemian Nights.” This is a night where the people in Fort Collins come around and get together to celebrate the birth of Fort Collins.
The history goes right back to 138 years agojust along the banks of the Cache de Poudre River when Fort Collins was born. The New West Festival is now on its 23rd year and it continues to be a host for Bohemian Nights, which is a free concert that runs together with the Festival. The Bohemian Nights for this year boasts over 70 bands all from Colorado and will be playing in this 3 day Community Party that continues todeliver a huge crowd of approximately 120,000 to the Streets of Fort Collins.
The New West Festival
Enjoy the Arts and craft booths, food vendors, a kids’ area, a children’s carnival, two beer gardens and nine stages, six specifically for music. The three additional stages are the Dance Stage, featuring everything from belly dancing to clogging, the Kids’ World Stage, featuring a variety of kid-friendly performances from martial arts demos to magic shows, and the Performing Arts Stage, with presentation from various local theater and ballet companies. This Festival definitely has a little something for everyone.
Bohemian Nights
Bohemian Nights is now on its seveth year and for this year six time Grammy winner, Asleep at the Wheel and G. Love & Special Sauce, Tedeschi Trucks Band are heading the whole musical line-up which will have 6 music stages located throughout historic downtown Fort Collins at 6pm on Friday Night and will continue to jam and entertain the crowd all the way through Sunday Afternoon. Fans are encouraged to attend early in the day to catch some of the best, new Colorado acts. Tedeschi Trucks Band will headline Saturday night, combining two amazing performers into one of the most celebrated acts in recent years. Husband-wife duo, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, will showcase their incredible talents and perform a blues, rock, soul-funk repertoire to wow Fort Collins. .Click here to see the full music lineup. An artists retreat within Bohemian Nights at New West Fest. This garden will be larger than last year and located at the Remmington Street parking lot behind the Aggie Theater.
