
It’s Mosquito Season again, this means that the West Nile Virus risk is spreading and it is in it’s highest during August – September. What can we do to protect our family specially our Kids from being bitten by this deadly Mosquitos?
Some precaution on preventing this West Nile Virus:
- As much as possible stay at Home, reducing outdoor activities will reduce the risk of encountering mosquitoes.
- Apply insect repellants when going outdoors, this will help us prevent deadly mosquitoes in biting or even getting closer to our skins. We can also spray some insect repellants to our clothes to sent them away.
- Clean our backyard or have a community clean up. Clean those basins that stores water that can serve as a home to this deadly mosquitoes. Clean our garden like dried leaves and other clutters that can trap mosquitoes or that can attract mosquitoes. Also clean our homes like window and door screens. Everything that may be a possible place for mosquitoes, clean it up and spray some insecticides or we may use natural insecticides. Cleanliness is a must in sending those mosquitoes away.
- Keep our immune system at it’s best. Drink Healthy Foods and Vitamins, having a strong immune system will reduce the risk of the virus getting into our body because our system can fight it. Always stay Healthy!
