Ahhhh Colorado Peaches! There’s just nothing better than free stone peaches from Western Colorado! Palisade, Colorado to be exact.
The crops have been harvested over the past couple weeks on the Western Slope. Since Palisade, Colorado is about 250 miles west of Denver, I knew there was no chance I would get over there to enjoy the harvest.
Driving back from the Keenesburg Wild Life Sanctuary on Sunday, we saw a truck on the side of the road in Hudson, Colorado advertising fresh picked Palisade peaches. My husband pulled in and we bought 5 pounds of the yummy fruit.
He had just driven down from Palisade that morning and said he had the end of his harvest in the truck. Boy oh boy are they ever so delicious.
