Beautiful Changing of the Aspens in the Colorado Mountains

Each year around the third week of September while driving through the mountains you will see Aspens changing from a rich dark green to very light green on their way to draining the chlorophyll out of their leaves. The new colors emerging are bright yellow, gold and orange. They will light up in the mist of the dark green forest.

The leaves will look like they are lit from within like Christmas lights. There are so many areas to choose from to view the greatness of the Aspens trees with their beautiful gold leaves and white trunks.
