Rocky Loves Home Again Microchips
Sniff Sniff – Hello. My name is Rocky. I adopted some humans about 15 months when I was only about 10 weeks old. I heard through the petvine that Craig and Belinda Spillman would be a good family to join.
One of the first things they did, was take me to the vet and had a microchip inserted under my skin. It only hurt for a few seconds but the kisses and hugs I got afterward made it all worth it.
Now if anyone tries to take me away from my home or if I decide to go on a walk by myself, the microchip can be scanned and tell everyone where I live. The company that monitors all of this information is HomeAgain. I really like the company because Snoopy is their mascot. I do wish they would let me watch more cartoons with Snoopy, but that is the subject for another dog-blog.
HomeAgain is a national company so if I walk too far, I can still be reunited with my humans in Colorado. Over 50,000 vets and animal shelters are equipped with the special scanners to read the tiny microchip in my neck. I have a pretty neat profile with the HomeAgain database and it even has a picture of me hanging out in my backyard. They do charge my humans an annual fee of only $17 to maintain my profile, but heck, that is merely bones money. I can surely give up a few bones a year to maintain this information. I would gladly volunteer to give up a grooming appointment, but I’m not sure they would agree with that.
If you have had a pet adopt your family, DON’T PAWS, check out HomeAgain so you can keep track of their every movement.
