Just yesterday in the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel newspaper there was an article about the Cities of Grand Junction and Montrose Colorado. These numbers are according to the U.S. Census Bureau just released Wednesday. The article said that Grand Junction Colorado grew by 3.7% in the past year from 134,061 to 139,082 in population which makes it the 9th fastest growing metro area in the nation out of 363 metro areas. Montrose Colorado which is 65 miles southwest of Grand Junction where I live and sell Real Estate, also grew by 3.7% from 38,109 to 39,527 in population. This makes Montrose the fastest growing micropolitan in the State of Colorado and the 8th fastest growing in the nation out of 576 Micropolitan areas nationwide.
