Wow. There has been a wildfire burning in my area now for two days. The firefighters hit it hard today and with the winds dying down for the evening I am optimistic that the containment will increase.
Air support came into the area today and it seems that the effort has been effective.
All you rural Rainers thank your local volunteer fire departments.
I can't be grateful enough to those 150 + firefighters that are currently battling the blaze. The temp. in direct sun was over 120 today with only 6% humidity. Everyone is hoping for a change in the weather tomorrow.
I hope that all the evacuees and the many animals that were also evacutaed are doing well.
