The best antivirus, I have tested many antivirus since years ago. Protect yourself

I want to share some other of my experiences, since kid I was using computers as a Hobbie, to play, to educate, learn, etc.

I love to test software, I am not a nerd, but I know and have very good knowledge about computers / software / hardware.

I have tested since years ago, Mcfee, Norton, F-Prot, Kapersky, Panda Antivirus, NOD 32, Avast PRO. Zone Alarm antivirus to mention some of the importants.

Well, I will just tell you that the winner on my viruses tests / adware , the most complete and the one that eat less resources It is Avast Professional. Believe me, with McFee and Norton I had problems before of spyware / viruses. With Avast since some years ago it has been the winner even then these days are more and more virus, worms, troyans, spyware, adwares.

I found something for you if you do not believe what I say / tested, this guy is a well known on the web, here it is a review on Zdnet

Hi Ray, I switched all of my office machines from Norton to NOD32. What was your experience with NOD32? Anything bad? Any problems? How did it compare to the others?

Like any other piece of software or hardware, the best one for you is usually the one you use.

Some of the better digital cameras for example, have too many features for the average Realtor/user so they tend not to use them.

For making pictures of houses for listing and marketing purposes you don't really need the biggest, most expensive, mega pixel camera; often a simpler version will do the job for you and you'll use it more.

Thanks for the tip Ray. I installed the program and its working great! No spyware attached! I guess they make their money by selling business licenses.

fyi...forgot to login before I posted this before.

Thanks for the update and post, I will look into this. Anti virus is so important now

I do not want to make a forum of this, just I want to answer some questions.

David,  Nod32 has very good results, check the link that I post above and it is on the zdnet reviews, so it is not bad at all, I prefer Avast PRO.

Yes, I have tested more than the list that I wrote about, but those that I listed are the most important on all my tests.  I have two cd rom discs full of old viruses / new. I made my tests with a lot of antivirus software.

I will tell you a secret and Hope that this will be closed,   If you have questions / doubts about antivirus,  send me an email and I will be more than glad to help you guys

BTW, Norton and Mcfee  they are selling you the name, they are not as good as you think. I do not want to pay for a very known brandname and a software that will eat a lot of my resources on my windows even they do not detect bunch of stuff that Avast detects it. Nod 32 has very good weight, it has won very good reputation because it is very strong and does not utilize too much resources.

We are help to help us each other, so do not worry to ask.

Good Luck

I use the free edition of AVG from www.grisoft.com.

It's on 3 computers and I've had no virus problems on any; AVG does seem to catch about 1 every other week.

 The price is right too....................free

 Did I mention it was.......................free. ;-)
