With all the fires going on all over the country, I thought it might be time to share my sister's fire evacation procedure again. She has fine tuned it over years with several fires that have occurred where she lives, in Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, Arizona. The last and worst fire was last summer. The canyon is a very heavily wooded area with only one road in and out and they had a huge fire that kept her out of her home and on pins and needles for 10 days. She didn't know until she actually saw her house if it was going to be there or not. I copied this from an email she sent her friends and family, detailing what works best when you are in a panic. If you have friends in high fire danger areas, I know they will appreciate the link to her list.
My sister is Adele Earnshaw, a very good and well known wildlife artist. That is why she mentions how to pack your paintings, if you have time!
