FOLLOW-UP TO POSSIBLE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN STEAMBOAT SPRINGS

The Steamboat Springs Planning Commission voted, 4-1, to recommend approval of Elk River Village.

The approval came in spite of the the difficulty of pedestrian, bicycle and mass transit connections to the site on the north side of U.S. Highway 40, but pointed out the fact that the Yampa River Core Trail is less than a mile away via Curve Plaza on the south side of the highway, a good connections to the city's network of pedestrian and bicycle paths.
