If you are looking for some inspiration - check out these two heroes:
Tonight officers Jimmy Barrett and Brian Bowsza of the Hartford police department entered a burning building and rescued a resident from the fire. The man was suffering from a seizure and was unable to get out of the building on his own. It is unclear whether the seizure was brought on by the fire or started before.
The police officers arrived on the scene before firefighters and just responded without regard for their own personal safety! Remember Police do not wear the safty clothes that firefighters wear.
To the two hereos tonight: we salute you!
:)

Hello Matt,
Thank you for the post in honoring the 2 Hero police officers..
I also appreciate the post honoring these police heros! My husband is a recently retired police officer. He always says "everyone loves fireman and hate police officers". And I agree, we all forget that they are heros too. Keeping us safe day after day is a heroic act in itself!
Good Post, while some of our Police Officers do some regrettable things in the heat of the moment and end up on CNN because someone was there with their camcorder or cell phone, acts of bravery are happening everyday but somehow don't make it to CNN. Where are those guys with the cameras?
Cheers to all of our Police Officers...
Hi Matt, These heroes thanklessly give of themselves without thinking twice. They are amazing. Thanks for sharing the story.
Thanks everyone for commenting. I wish we saw more good news in the newspapers and TV news!
:)
These are the exact kind of people that should be honored as heroes and the problem is the media will forget this as soon as their a person hurt committing a crime. (They will somehow blame the officers for doing their job)
Hi Deorge: I agree.
:)
And yesterday we have a security guard murdered in the line of duty. I don't envy public safety officers their jobs.
Now if we can just get the national media to quit calling sports, film, and music superstars "heroes." They are anything but heroes.
Hi Jim: I agree.
Hi Russel: Oh heck yeah I can agree with that!
:)
