I guess my strawberry plants are going to feed more than just me, this guy is snacking on them as well.
Great shot, only thing is I would have had to use a very large telescopic lens to get that shot, I am not a fan of bees. I know they do a really good job and we need them, I just don't like them. :D
But it is a good picture!
(It is a bee, isn't it?) LOL.
Anrea I am not a fan of them either, and this guy was almost like a cross between a bee and a hornet.
At least you will have some strawberries. The darn squirrels ate every last one of the strawberries on my plant. ARRRGH...Now something's eating my cherry tomatoes, I just haven't caught who's doing it yet.
Super shot George - Bee good!
Chanda I have a raccoon that is up in my cherry tree every night knocking them down onto my deck. In the morning I clean up the cherry mess from his feast. I got some photos from him last night. Will post.
George - Nice image. Good luck with the strawberries. I have a few plants on my deck and only 1 strawberry because the critters are getting to them before I do. All the best.
George - I love strawberries but you couldn't me within 100 feet of that strawberry plant. I fell into a nest and got stung all over when I was little. They are not very friendly little buggers. :)
Chanda, sorry to hear about that. I have some cherry tomatoes growing next to the strawberries as well.
Jenny I will try to bee good, but I can't promise that ....... LOL
Kenneth, so far I have not had any problem with the critters, hope they stay away.
Donna I have been bitten a few times myself, but I guess I don't have enough common sense to stay away :)
He's just doing his job. Collecting his nectar to bring home to the family.
George... Nice Photo I have some extra fresh cow fertilizer if you need any for your plants.
Russ, that means that he is a good family man then :)
Steve, I could use some but only if you deliver ...... LOL
George, I love the detail. It looks like the bee is crossing his little legs getting ready for a feast.
Looks like a great conversation starter!
You're getting good with those shots George...wait a minute ...I gotta see what Marchel is talking about...
He was tripping over his feet lol
Marchel, now that is very observant of you :)
Dena, yes it could bee that :)
Sally you and Marchel need to give your imaginations a vacation ....... LOL
George,
My mother used to grow them when I was a kid in our garden...they don't do very well here...I think the bugs like them more so they destroy them:))
Neal, I have been fighting off a few bugs also. I think I will hang one of them up by his hine legs to serve as an example to the rest ....... LOL
George,
WOW! You may be afraid of heights but you are not afraid of bees???
Ann Hayden in hot Wildwood, Missouri
Ann bees only hurt a little, but heights could ruin my whole day :) :)
That picture was beautiful, George. You must have a really good camera to get a shot up that close.
William this camera does a nice job as long as I have lots of sun light.
