I was going through Portland, CT yesterday afternoon on the way to showing a home, when I went through the center of town to see a banner going across the street. Guess what time it is? It is the annual "Portland Brownstone (for the brownstone buildings in town) Festival". I believe it to be the 4th annual. This is when the town celebrates all the people who reside in it and the town itself. It is being held on the green at Trinity Church, the Riverfront Park and other buildings in town, this Saturday, September 13th, today!. There will be a pancake breakfast at the senior center, hayrides, Arts n' Crafts, music, art show and much more. The best part is that it is FREE.. and for the whole family.
It is always fun to learn about another town, so if you are in the area, stop by and enjoy.
