Family Room: Staging

Very nice home in Trumbull (Fairfield County), CT, fine example of the 300 or so four-bedroom, 2.5 bath Colonials on the market in our immediate five-town area. What's going to set it apart from the rest of the pack? Staging, of course!!! Most of the job entailed clearing out family photos and keepsakes. A chair, floor lamp, two pillows and a picture were borrowed from other rooms. Two drapery panels (total cost $34.00) were purchased. This is Nesting's first RES...so forgive the fireplace shots (I didn't know...!).

Very nice and relaxing. I enjoyed the show. Potential buyers will love it too.

Great job, Julia.  Not sure what I liked better - the cozy chair with a lamp next to the fireplace or the fire mantel.

Kathy

Nice job.  I liked the panels and the explanations on the bottom of the show.

Thank you all for your responses - this is just a show-and-tell for me, but the client was just AMAZED!  I guess this is why we're in this crazy business!  Julie

<chuckling> you're so right.  I get peeved when a client isn't TV-show level astounded nowadays!!  You did a lovely job brightening and opening up the space.  The client was right to be amazed.

Wow!!!  What great results with so little financial investment!!  Your clients must be very pleased with the results!

Julia, beautiful work. I love the difference made when removing a mirror that reflects the ceiling. My clients are also amazed at the transformations furniture and accessory placement makes. . . That's what makes our job so fun!
