Fairfield County, CT, Condo: Staging With Owner's Furniture
After installing new laminate flooring (hardwood would not work over the concrete slab), and repainting, this condo living room was Staged to sell. The homeowner's furniture, which included some antiques, was supplemented by additional pieces supplied by Nestings Home Staging. Nestings also provided art, lighting, and accessories to appeal to the target buyer. In this case, the condo was designed to appeal to a down-sizing couple.

Pale, cafe au lait-color paint and glossy white trim keeps the space light and airy while highlighting the architectural features. Simple linen slipcovers neutralized the upholstered pieces. Pops of orange keep the eye moving around the room. The mirrored built-in shelves were edited, and a few large items were placed there to demonstrate its function, but not distract.
This condo is an example of the services a Home Stager can provide. For this condo, we selected the paint and flooring material. Other rooms also called for carpet, granite counters, and new appliances, which we also selected. Cabinets were refinished and/or thoroughly cleaned. We coordinated all labor.
We worked with much of the seller's furniture, but provided updated pieces, as well as lighting, art, accessories, etc. The whole is designed to show off the square footage, demonstrate good traffic flow and functional spaces. It will certainly appeal to the target buyer.
