Mix and Match Fabrics for Home Staging
Help! When it came to Staging this Master bedroom, I didn't have any coordinating bedding in stock! However, I did have one quilt, some assorted pillows, four drapery panels, and one new printed sheet set. Refusing to spend more money than necessary, I determined to make do with what I had, rather than buy a new bed-in-a-bag.
It's all about mixing and matching colors and patterns. Keep the same colors, and mix up the patterns and their scale.

The freshly painted walls and new carpeting were neutral. The four drapery panels, just enough, were a blue stripe. I planned to use two chairs with a brown print in the room, so decided to go with a blue and brown color scheme. Works well with the one light blue comforter I had!

The art adds a lot of drama above the bed.
I had two coordinating canvases in stock, which worked nicely with these colors and also had some green in them. So I pulled some oversized green damask Euro-sized pillows. The unused sheets were in a green and brown rose print; a little dated, but sure to appeal to the target buyer - and they work!

Finally, I layered in a pair of silk pillows in a brown and white leaf print. Very fresh.
Hope this inspired you to use what you have! Mix and match your fabrics around a limited color palette, alternating pattern scale.
