What's up With Keller Williams?

Keller Williams is growing fast and for great reasons. While there are still many parts of the country experiencing Keller Who? If they are not in your area, they will be soon.

In brief, I'll share my story. I entered the Real Estate business over 12 years ago and became the first member of this areas first ever Team, (the Lorraine Leonard Team). We numbered at 3 with a full time admin. and we worked for William Raveis (a CT statewide company with about 1200 agents). In the company's eyes, I was invisible, even after attaining 12 million in sales personally. They resisited in us growing our Team and they resisted our efforts, though we still succeeded, in branding. Despite this, and eventually with some support, we grew our Team to 6 agents and 3 full time staff members. We travelled throughout the nation to network and learn at least 6 times a year. After being named part of the top 100 in the country in 2002 we started watching other mega agents we personally knew around the country turn Keller Williams. Why? We wondered.

It was at the beginning of 2005 that we decided to learn about this company. With every page we turned and every person we met at Keller Williams we found a new partner who mirrored our philosophies in working together, creating a better life and training. We were truly astounded. "Let's do it" we decided. Then we learned to be an owner was not that easy. Not like ReMax, which I consider the Duncan Donuts of the industry. There were lots of interviews, personality testing, background checks, etc. Their space requirements, agent requirements and more. Looking back, all a very good thing.

We left William Raveis at the end of April and have never looked back. We were approved as an office by Keller Williams and awarded our franchise on Dec. 1. Since then we have achieved a 10% market share with 35 quality agents and are #5 of 30+ in our market place. And Keller Williams agents now number at 69,000+.

But still the why? right? Keller Williams believes that you, the agent bring 75% of your business to yourself because of who you are and your sphere of influence. Keller Williams is not the brand, YOU are! They have created incredible relationships with vendors to help you build your brand. Every office offers free training in house for every level of agent to achieve their next level of success. Have you attended training that pumped you up to do more? Imagine having that every week, free. And there is more.

Keller Williams believes in family first. It supports it's agents in learning how to work less and make more. It supports Team building and teaches it! Not only that, have you ever thought you could earn 100% commission? Here you can. Each office has an established number that once the agent hits in contribution to the office, the split goes away. Yes, it's true and not hard to do.

Additionally, Keller Williams will profit share over $70,000,000 this year! It's absolutley proven that when there is profit share opportunity, people work better together. Competition becomes fun, not back stabbing and workers help eachother to achieve because then together they all achieve.

Last month, I stood at the back of the office and watched the hustle and bustle of the agents. They were in and out of offices and cubicles with such exciting energy. They were all helping each other, just because that's the Keller Williams way. I was so Proud!
