US COAST GUARD BAND, New London, CT

One of the huge benefits of living in southeastern CT is that you can attend US Coast Guard Band concerts for free. This is a band made up of professional musicians, all of whom are members of the US Coast Guard. They present concerts periodically throughout the year. This afternoon they played marches from all over the world. These included pieces by Serge Prokofiev, William Walton, Philip Sparke, John Philip Sousa, Hector Berlioz and John Williams along with various other composers.
