For years, the "Berries", located in the lower Huntington section of Shelton, CT in Fairfield County, has been one of the most prestigious and sought after areas in which to live.
Although not an official name for the area, the name “Berries” was coined by locals and is now widely recognized as the unofficial area name.

Blueberry Lane, with access only from Huntington Street, started the ‘harvest’ back in the 1970’s.
Eventually, Royal Wells, owner and developer, opened up the property to Nichols Avenue (Route 108) and The Berries quickly multiplied. From the 1980s to late 1990s, new blossoms appeared and the development ended up with 9 different varieties:

One very nice feature of the area is that most houses are architecturally different. They are not of the cookie cutter variety. Each has its own personality and distinction. Lots run about an acre and pride of ownership shows throughout the entire berry ‘patch’.
Homes run from approximately 2,000 square feet to 4,000 square feet on the average. Many of the homes in the south western portion of the area border the Trap Falls Reservoir.
The Berries is very conveniently located in the lower Huntington section of Shelton just minutes to Route 8, the Merritt Parkway, I-95 and Metro North with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby in Huntington Plaza or along the Bridgeport Avenue corridor.

The area is approximately 7 miles to the nearest Metro North Train Station in Stratford where you can catch a train and commute to Stamford in 38 minutes or arrive in Grand Central Station in Manhattan in as little as 87 minutes.
Children living in the area can attend Booth Hill Elementary School, Perry Hill School, the Shelton Intermediate School or Shelton High School.
