Free Home Energy Assessment Seminar in Shelton CT

A free one hour energy assessment seminar will be offered on Thursday, February 16, at the Shelton CT Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster Street at 7 p.m.

The presentation will focus on homeowners getting a home energy assessment to learn ways to save energy and subsequently lower heating and cooling bills. The benefits of getting an energy audit will be explained at the seminar.

Bridgeport based Santa fuel will be the host of the presentation and will review what a home energy assessment involves as well as what immediate improvements can be done to increase the energy efficiency in the home. Areas addressed or tested include heating and cooling systems, insulation, weather sealing, and the efficiency of appliances.


The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund partners with companies like Santa Fuel to offer homeowners audits of their home for as little as $75. That small investment can save the homeowner hundreds of dollars a year usually by making some very simple changes.
