The Best Piano Studio in South Windsor

We all want our children to succeed in life. We want them to have best educations possible, then get into the best colleges, and get the best jobs.

To expect that they will get it all from school curriculum is unrealistic. We, parents, can help our children to find, and develop themselves by exposing them to further activities, whether it is dance, art classes, Lego clubs, chess clubs, piano, or other instruments.

As a piano teacher for the past 17 years, I have met many young children and adults who have played at the professional level (entering in to piano competitions), or just have played for "themselves," learning favorite tunes, such as "Moon River" or "Pink Panther."

Why study piano? Children who study music often have higher levels of: achievement in school, goal setting, self-expression, coordination, self-confidence, self-esteem, and concentration; as well as problem-solving, teamwork, and memory skills, and much, much more!

In my Little Beethovens Piano Studio,LLC, I use an individualized approach with each student. We all are different, and have varying interests and abilities. Me background in piano pedagogy helps me to "see what will work the best with each and every one of my students. I have students as young as four years old. We begin with them in the group music classes first, and they "graduate" to piano lessons after a few months. (To learn more, please visit www.LittleBeethovens.com)

It is very exciting to see how children develop, how they progress from month to month. It's especially rewarding for me, as a teacher, to see how parents are amazed when they watch they children's performances during our semi-annual piano recitals.

As a classical pianist, I love the master composers and try to introduce their pieces to my students at a very early age. During the winter time, for example, we love to play Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite. For the summer recitals, on the other hand, we prepare The Carnival of the Animals, by Saint Saen.

By introducing young musicians to classical pieces of magnificient composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Rachmaninoff, Gurlitt, Liszt and others, I truly believe I encourag my students to understand and appreciate the beauty of the arts.

But I don't introduce my students just to classical music, I introduce them as well, to various genres of music. Introduction to all kind of music helps me discover what each child is most interested in, since it is always fun to play something YOU like.

We, my 45 students and I (Little Beethovens Piano Studio, LLC), hold two piano recitals every year, where young musicians performs their pieces in front of family and friends. In my piano studio I have students ages from four through adult.

It is so rewardning for me, as a professional, as a teacher, and as a mom, to see what children can accomplish with just a little practice and some "help" from their parents.

I do my best to help parents enrich their children's imaginations. How worthwhile it is to teach thier youngsters about the rewards of hard work and to motivate these students to continue piano lessons even when other activities seem like more fun! My piano studio is the BEST, because I am fortunate to have so many talented students!

My goal, as an instructor, is to teach my students to enjoy the act of performing because they will feel proud of what they have done and may well develp a love of music that will last a lifetime.

Remember, it is NEVER TO LATE to try something new! You will never find our what you are good at-- until you try.
